Our spiral notebooks are 6" x 8" in size and include 120 pages which are lined on both sides. The artwork is printed on the front cover which is made of thick paper stock, and the back cover is medium gray in color. The inside of the back cover includes a pocket for storing extra paper and pens.

This painting is of a friend of mine from my parish. She and her husband, who passed away in 2019 shared a common love for the Beatles. Beatles art all over their home. A few weeks ago, I went to her home armed with a little digital camera and took a few photos of her. Joanie loves clothes and suggested a "John Lennon hat" and a mini-skirt. I actually shortened the skirt a few inches from the original image, and then, while the photo of her was taken at the staircase of her study, I already had in mind to do this Magical Mystery Tour theme. Bought a new restored copy of the Beatles movie, took some screenshots of the Beatles and four of the characters on the tour (Aunt Jessie, Buster Bloodvessel, Wendy Winters, and Jolly Jimmy) as well as shots of the Panorama bus, and this is what I ultimately came up with.
I consider myself primarily an illustrator. I never quite fit in with others, so I grew up isolated and found much of my comfort in movies, comic books, music, and books. My artistic influences include fantasy illustrators from the "Brandywine" school of Howard Pyle to the best comic book artists of today. I get my inspiration from such widely diverse sources as the absurd, music, classic movies, myth, pin-up, fantasy literature, and my Catholic sensibilities.
