George MacDonald metal print by Bryan Bustard. Bring your artwork to life with the stylish lines and added depth of a metal print. Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. Artist's Description
Years ago, there was a small press publication called Wonder Magazine. The chief artist was a friend of mine, Jim Peavy, but occasionally I managed to get some illustration in. This was one of the pieces used to illustration a reprint of one of MacDonald's stories. George MacDonald was a former preacher in Scotland whose fairy stories, most notably The Back of the North Wind, and other writings inspired C.S. Lewis.
About Bryan Bustard
I consider myself primarily an illustrator. I never quite fit in with others, so I grew up isolated and found much of my comfort in movies, comic books, music, and books. My artistic influences include fantasy illustrators from the "Brandywine" school of Howard Pyle to the best comic book artists of today. I get my inspiration from such widely diverse sources as the absurd, music, classic movies, myth, pin-up, fantasy literature, and my Catholic sensibilities.
