Our spiral notebooks are 6" x 8" in size and include 120 pages which are lined on both sides. The artwork is printed on the front cover which is made of thick paper stock, and the back cover is medium gray in color. The inside of the back cover includes a pocket for storing extra paper and pens.

In 1984, Blockbuster Video was practically non-existent. Netflix had not even been thought of yet. DVDs or even Laserdiscs were not available. Only VHS and Betamax existed as rentals. I paid $75 for my first rental membership at American Tape and Video on Buford Highway in Chamblee, Georgia. One of my earliest marketing ideas was to create quickly done pieces of movie stars which American Tape and Video agreed to display. I lost tons of money on the deal although I fared slightly better by painting portraits of movie stars on their display which overlooked the front entrance. This was one of the pieces. Since 1984, in 2011, I spruced up the legs of Miss Garland by painting over the colored pencil with a wash of acrylic paint and I added some black outlining. 20
I consider myself primarily an illustrator. I never quite fit in with others, so I grew up isolated and found much of my comfort in movies, comic books, music, and books. My artistic influences include fantasy illustrators from the "Brandywine" school of Howard Pyle to the best comic book artists of today. I get my inspiration from such widely diverse sources as the absurd, music, classic movies, myth, pin-up, fantasy literature, and my Catholic sensibilities.
