Artist's Description

This is a simpler painting designed for my music series based on a song by Elvis that he sang in "It Happened At the World's Fair"

The heart was created in an interesting way. I worked for a photograph that I took. I wanted a unique sort of heart to be broken, so I went to my local hobby shop and bought a couple of molds, one larger than the other. I mixed red food coloring and water for the smaller mold and froze it. Then I put the frozen result from that mold into a larger mold with clear water and froze the two together. About Bryan Bustard

Bryan Bustard

I consider myself primarily an illustrator. I never quite fit in with others, so I grew up isolated and found much of my comfort in movies, comic books, music, and books. My artistic influences include fantasy illustrators from the "Brandywine" school of Howard Pyle to the best comic book artists of today. I get my inspiration from such widely diverse sources as the absurd, music, classic movies, myth, pin-up, fantasy literature, and my Catholic sensibilities. For a number of my original pieces, feel free to purchase some more modestly priced ones at my Etsy page. I may be adding more as time goes on. https://www.etsy.com/shop/bryanbartist?ref=hdr_shop_menu More than willing to do commissions, I am adept at portraiture of...
