A great many years ago ... perhaps 20? ... I met this young lady at the hotel I was staying at while attending a convention in Louisville, KY. I started the painting back then, and for reasons I can't remember, the painting was put away and I never finished it, even though all I needed to do was darken her clothes and hair and bit and finish the arms. The date on this piece is 2014, but really, the lion's share was done in the 1990s as I recall.
I've lost touch with the model, so if anyone knows Soua and knows that she worked in the hospitality industry in Louisville, would you please tell her the painting is FINALLY finished! lol!

I consider myself primarily an illustrator. I never quite fit in with others, so I grew up isolated and found much of my comfort in movies, comic books, music, and books. My artistic influences include fantasy illustrators from the "Brandywine" school of Howard Pyle to the best comic book artists of today. I get my inspiration from such widely diverse sources as the absurd, music, classic movies, myth, pin-up, fantasy literature, and my Catholic sensibilities.
