Artist's Description
I began this painting at least 4 years prior to finishing it with much of the background and the colors of the dragon already laid down. However, I had photographed a clothed model for the piece and was never quite satisfied with the proportions of the model as drawn on paper, once I had turned the image to a nude image. About Bryan Bustard
I consider myself primarily an illustrator. I never quite fit in with others, so I grew up isolated and found much of my comfort in movies, comic books, music, and books. My artistic influences include fantasy illustrators from the "Brandywine" school of Howard Pyle to the best comic book artists of today. I get my inspiration from such widely diverse sources as the absurd, music, classic movies, myth, pin-up, fantasy literature, and my Catholic sensibilities. For a number of my original pieces, feel free to purchase some more modestly priced ones at my Etsy page. I may be adding more as time goes on. https://www.etsy.com/shop/bryanbartist?ref=hdr_shop_menu More than willing to do commissions, I am adept at portraiture of...
